Get Connected Day is an information day for students and parents to learn more about Edina High School. View the checklist above for things to watch for on that day:

Pick up technology.
Pick up parking permit (if purchased). See below
Request a locker
Get photo taken for ID and yearbook.

Note: In order to be included in the yearbook and have a picture ID, all students should get their picture taken even if you do not plan to purchase any photos.
Pictures may be ordered 7-10 days after Picture Day.
Additional Dates:

- Picture Retake Day: Tuesday, October 1

If you missed Get Connected/Picture Day, you can pick up an ID in the front office from 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.

2024-2025 EHS Student Parking Permits

Registration opens Monday July 29^th at 9:00 AM and closes Sunday August 11^th at 4:00 PM

If your student is planning to apply for a parking permit for the 2024-2025 school year, please note the following information.

The registration window for the 2024-2025 student parking permits will open Monday July 29^th at 9:00 AM and close Sunday August 11^th at 4:00 PM

There are some things to remember with regard to parking permits in the EHS lots. From athletics, to fine arts, to clubs and after school jobs, EHS students have a lot going on, and it is all important. Unfortunately, we do not have enough parking spaces for all students who may want a permit in the EHS lot. Luckily, we have school busses which are still a free and viable option for many. We also partner with 3 local churches who have provided additional parking spaces for students to lease. Since demand for spots is higher than the supply we have to prioritize. You need to have a current driver's license when registering for a parking permit.

We will be distributing permits during Get Connected Day on Thursday, August 22^nd from 12-6 PM

How do we prioritize?

We will accommodate students who are enrolled as PSEO students who need to leave campus during the day.
We will next grant permits based on seniority (For example, a carpool of 3 with at least one senior driver will have priority over a carpool of 3 without a senior driver.)
We will next accommodate carpools by the number of students in the car (For example, a carpool of 4 will have a higher priority than a carpool of 3.)

Please note: Students can only appear in ONE carpool. We do cross reference to check for duplicate names.

The parking prioritization plan for 2024-2025 school year:

PSEO Students
4 person carpools with at least one senior
3 person carpools with at least one senior
2 person carpools with at least one senior
4 person carpools with at least one junior
3 person carpools with at least one junior
2 person carpools with at least one junior
Single cars with a senior
Single cars with a junior
Sophomore drivers and carpools

What is the cost?

The cost of a parking permit for the school year is $450 to park at EHS. Once an applications has been accepted and a permit assigned, the permit fee will be added to the Infinite Campus fee account of the Primary Driver and a confirmation email will be sent. Fees must be paid by the due date indicated in that email. Please note, this fee is non-refundable. Also, if any driver or rider is participating in PSEO this year, list them as the Primary Driver on the application and indicate "Yes" to the question. The fee for a permit in a church parking lot is $150 and is paid by a check written to the specific church. Student preferring a church permit rather that an EHS lot permit should indicate that in the additional comments section of the application form.

Church Locations:

TICKETS, FINES, BOOTS, AND/OR TOWING MAY BE ISSUED FOR PARKING VIOLATIONS

TICKETS WILL BE ISSUED FOR THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS:
$30 - 1st offense $60 - 2nd offense $90 - 3rd offense

Permits are only valid if displayed by hanging from the rear view mirror. Vehicles not displaying a valid permit will be considered to be illegally parked and subject to ticket and/or tow (at the owner's expense).
Cars that are illegally parked or parked outside of designated student parking areas will be ticketed and/or towed without warning. Students should not park in visitor spots in front of door 5 (main entrance).
Cars that are booted will need to pay the fee in cash before the boot is removed.
Permits may be revoked without refund for careless or reckless driving, failure to yield, double parking, speeding, leaving campus without permission, taking underclassmen off campus, failure to attend classes, tardiness, and parking in undesignated areas. Students with revoked or suspended semester permits will not be allowed to purchase daily permits.
Lost or stolen permits are subject to a replacement fee of $30.00. Permits are not transferable and may not be resold.
Stealing, forging, or using a false permit will result in school suspension and loss of parking privileges.

Edina Public Schools is not responsible for any damage that occurs in the parking lot.
